Quick Introduction to Haromoni
Haromoni@ (short for Hello! Morning, its predecessor that ran for seven years) is a weekly TV show starring Morning Musume and hosted by "King Akachin", which began on the 8th April 2007. It's aired on TV Tokyo, in Japan, at 12:25pm every Sunday. It was originally five minutes longer, beginning at 12:20pm, for the show's first year.

In the titles we're told that the fictional Haromoni Kingdom, ruled by King Akachin, is inhabited by animals. Morning Musume, representing these animals for no particular reason, take part in various games, challenges and missions, usually in order to win a food prize.

Originally, every week a "visitor to Akachin" left something belonging to them "in his castle". Each show was based around the mission of returning the item to the person who left it behind to discover what it was actually used for. Along the way the girls would visit places they passed. Now though, the mystery items have gone, and games (mostly in-studio) and challenges have taken their place. You can find out more about these on the 'Regular Sections' page.

Viewers in Japan can join the kingdom online. Once they are a member they can chat with Morning Musume and guests, read behind the scenes info and suggest ideas for future episodes.

~ King Akachin
~ Voiced by Takashi Yoshimura
~ 'Akachin' is the host of Haromoni@. Each show he sits in his royal pram and watches on as MoMusu and guests take part in his various games and challenges. He has lots of friends in lots of places, including various comedians and celebrities, child experts, heads of big companies and, of course, the Cabbage Minster...

~ Cabbage Minister
~ Played by Kenta Tokui
~ We first saw the Cabbage Minister 'growing' in a cabbage patch in the early episodes of the show. His appearances were completely random and didn't have any purpose at all! Months later he had managed to dig himself out of the ground and is now a regular in Akachin's castle. He takes up various roles, including demonstrating challenges, being an official adjudicator and being a part of certain games. Kenta (Cabbage) and Takashi (Akachin) are actually a comedy double-act know as Heisei Nobushi Kobushi.

~ Ai Takahashi
~ Deer
~ D.O.B: 14th September 1986
~ Ai is the current leader of Morning Musume. She admits that she's not good at talking on TV shows, but nowadays she'll always chip-in with something on Haromoni... Including her very own unique 'Man-Scream'!

~ Risa Niigaki
~ Squirrel
~ D.O.B: 20th October 1988
~ Risa is the sub-leader of Morning Musume. Her reactions to everything are always over the top and if she's around you'll always hear her! USO!

~ Eri Kamei
~ Raccoon-Dog
~ D.O.B: 23rd December 1988
~ Eri is the slightly weird one of the group! Since taking on comedic roles in the old Hello! Morning she's always saying and doing strange things. One thing that always guarantees a laugh is her serious lack of drawing skills!

~ Sayumi Michishige
~ Rabbit
~ D.O.B: 13th July 1989
~ Sayu is probably the most 'cutesy and girly' of the group. Don't be fooled though, she also has a darker side! She has her own catchphrase too - "Usa-chan Peace!".

~ Reina Tanaka
~ Cat
~ D.O.B: 11th November 1989
~ Reina's a bit of a diva and is known for being "Yankee" (a rebel). She's easily annoyed and you'll often see her sulking on the show when she's not got what she wanted.

~ Koharu Kusumi
~ Fox
~ D.O.B: 15th July 1992
~ Koharu usually gets too over-excited about anything! Since she's been voicing the character Kirari in anime series "Kirarin Revolution" she's also become a lot louder.

~ Aika Mitsui
~ Panda
~ D.O.B: 12th January 1993
~ Aika is the youngest of the group. Since joining her personality has developed, but she can still be quiet a lot of the time. On the show she's usually coupled with Koharu in out-and-about mini-sections.

~ Chun Li (JunJun)
~ Lesser Panda
~ D.O.B: 11th February 1988
~ JunJun was the first of the surprise new members from China. Her confidence is quickly growing and she's fast becoming a rival to Comical-Eri. Her love for bananas is a running Haromoni joke!

~ Lin Qian (LinLin)
~ Toy Poodle
~ D.O.B: 11th March 1991
~ LinLin was the second of the surprise Chinese members. She is pretty outgoing and quick-witted, often doing things for a laugh. LinLin's also queen of facial expressions!

Previous Members:
~ Miki Fujimoto
~ Leopard
~ D.O.B: 26th February 1985
~ Last episode: 27th May 2007
~ Miki is self-admittedly abrupt and blunt and better with animals, especially dogs, than with people. She resigned from MoMusu on the 1st June 2007 after her relationship with Shoji Tomoharu was reported in a magazine.

~ Hitomi Yoshizawa
~ Shiba Inu (dog)
~ D.O.B: 12th April 1985
~ Last episode: 6th May 2007
~ Yossy has a big personality and is known for her humour. She's perceived as a bit of a "tomboy" but is apparently more 'girlish' then people think. Yossy graduated from Morning Musume on the 6th of May 2007.

~ Nozomi Tsuji (Sugiura)
~ Sheep
~ D.O.B: 17th June 1987
~ Last episode: 6th May 2007
~ Nono's a bit of a 'trouble'-making type - still a child at heart. She also loves food, meaning she was always determined to get it! On the 10th May 2007 Nono officially announced her engagement to actor Taiyou Sugiura, and that she was pregnant with his baby. The couple's daughter, Noa, was born on the 26th November 2007.
